About Me.
Born in Scotland, I sadly lost my Glaswegian accent when we moved to the home counties. My family was large and complex, stretching across continents, from Ghana to Ukraine, Ultimately, I'm British with a Slavic twist. Having recently moved to deepest Oxfordshire, where Tolkien, Agatha Christie and George Orwell all lived and wrote, I'm hoping one of them will be my ghostly muse (it hasn't happened yet). My partner is Swedish and much of my family are British-Ghanaian.
After getting a degree in journalism decades ago, I fled into the imaginary worlds of fiction. Working part time in many random jobs to support myself (including event hospitality and pet shops) I have had over 20 short stories published.
In the summer of 2024, I attended the illustrious Clarion Workshop in San Diego (UCSD), where I made friends with writers far more talented than myself. It was a life-changing experience.
For those who have read this far (I salute you), below is a list of where my latest scribblings can be found (it should be up-to-date, but I'm making no promises).
