About Me.
I was born in Scotland into a vast and complex family, which makes me a crazy mix of Ukrainian-Russian-Welsh-Irish, but ultimately I'm British. Recently I moved to the depths of Oxfordshire where Tolkien, Agatha Christie and George Orwell all lived and wrote. I'm hoping their vibes will rub off on me.
After getting a degree in journalism many years ago, I sidestepped into fiction. My first manuscript was a beast of about 120K words, but it sparked something in me. After that, writing fiction became my passion. It's been a tough journey, and I've worked in hospitality jobs to a pet shops to fund my writing time.
In the summer of 2024, I went to UCSD for the illustrious Clarion Workshop, where I met so many talented writers.
For those who have read this far (I salute you), but below is a list of where my most recent stories have appeared (it should be up-to-date, but I'm making no promises).
